My Master study from one of Peter Paul Rubens's Old Man, those beard is such a painful work, 5 hours weekend days (currently working on matte painting project)


Copied from an artbook and flip it for a bit eyeballing challenge.

Concept master study from Guild Wars. I say study cause it isn't copied 100% verbatim. Spent a little over 20 hours on it. I altered the composition slightly to fit my interests better but overall I think I got pretty close to the original. This is the level I have to hit now with my own concept illustrations and now I think I understand how to get there. Just have to show it. Going to start a personal piece to be the first. Original is on the left.

, WHere is a wip of a Kekai Kotaki study. Just about done need to finish up the girl and some of the mark making on the left side of the canvas. Man he is a beast with shape design, brush economy, and mark definition. It will affect my future works for sure.
